The correct way to hold a composing stick when setting type.
A line of type set in an "improved standard job stick."
Set type is "damped" onto a galley and surrounded by "furniture" to protect it from loosening up or spilling.
Type ornaments are small, decorative elements cast into type metal like type.
Type tied to prevent it from being shaken or "pied" (mixed up).
Form - type set in chase. Chase is a cast-iron or steel frame into which type and furniture are locked for printing
